The women's basketball team took care of business in the opening round of the Region 3 postseason tournament. The Lady Raiders defeated Herkimer, 70-45 to advance to Saturday's semi-final round.

Abigail Lombardoni erupted for 29 points, including 9-13 from three. Andie Gannon finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds and Makenzie Smith with 17 points and 18 rebounds. The Lady Raider defense was stellar, holding the Generals to just 23% from the field.

FMCC will take on Jefferson at Jefferson Community College on Saturday, March 2nd in the semi-final round. Tip-off is set for 3:15pm
