Women's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Word of Life

The women's soccer team came up just short against Word of Life on Friday afternoon. The Huskies found the back of the net first in the 25th minute to give themselves a 1-0 lead.

The Lady Raiders dominated the offense to start the second half with strong passing. Kaitlyn Birkholz found Dafne Gonalez at the top of the box who was able to send it over the defense to notch the score, 1-1.

With 19 minutes remaining in the contest, Word of Life got through the FMCC defense to secure the go-ahead goal, 2-1. The Lady Raiders had shots on goal but were unable to convert.

FMCC now prepares for Broome Community College. They will travel on Wednesday, September 27th to take on the Hornets. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
