Queensbury, NY – The Lady Raiders ended their regular season by winning two of their three matches in the SUNY Adirondack Pod tourney on Saturday. FM shut out Hudson Valley and Columbia-Greene, and bowed to conference-leading Adirondack.
The Raiders posted an 11-11 overall season record, with a 4-2 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play – third-best in the seven-team conference. Further, FM has received the #3 seed in the upcoming conference championship meet.
Head Coach Rachael Salvione was pleased with the team's play, stating, "We played some great volleyball today. Adirondack is a solid team; we held strong but couldn't take control of the game."
SUNY Adirondack finished the season with a 22-2 record and the #1 seed for the conference tournament. The tournament will be hosted by Columbia-Greene next Saturday, October 26. FM will meet #2-seeded Herkimer in the first round.
