Volleyball Splits Weekend POD

The FMCC Volleyball team traveled to Monroe Community College in Rochester on Saturday for their second POD match of the season.

The Lady Raiders fell to the #4 nationally ranked Finger Lakes Lakers in their first match of the day. The Lakers came out on top 3-1; 25-17, 25-23, 17-25, and 25-12. Grace O'Brien led with 12 kills in the match and Amber Cole with 28 assists. FM had a busy day on the defensive end where Jayden DeVellis led with 22 digs, Allie Salvione with 14 and Haley Tomlinson with 11 digs.

In the second match of the day, The Lady Raiders bounced back and defeated Monroe Community College. They came out on top 3-0; 25-11, 25-14 and 25-16. O'Brien tallied 9 kills and Alaina Diffee with 6.  

FM will be back in action on Tuesday, September 17th. They will host Hudson Valley at home beginning at 7pm.
