The FMCC volleyball team extended their winning streak to four matches on Saturday. The Lady Raiders traveled to Jefferson CC to take on SUNY Adirondack and Hudson Valley.
In their first match, they snuck by the Timberwolves in three straight sets: 27-25, 25-17 and 28-26. Haley Tomlinson, Allie Salvione, and Grace O'Brien each had 8 kills each. Jayden DeVellis led with 20 digs, Tomlinson with 15 and O'Brien with 11. Alaina Diffee had 2 blocks and Amber Cole led with 33 assists.
In the second match of POD play, FMCC took on Hudson Valley. They defeated the Vikings 3-0: 25-10, 25-18 and 25-15. Tomlinson led with 8 kills and Emma Harbeck with 4. Diffee had 3 blocked shots.
The Lady Raiders improve to 7-1 on the season. They will turn around quickly as they host Herkimer College on Monday, September 23rd. The match is set to begin at 7pm and all sophomores will be recognized prior to the match.
