
The Lady Raiders Volleyball squad traveled to Jefferson Community College to take on SUNY Adirondack and Hudson Valley in Region 3 POD competition.
In a back-and-forth battle packed with momentum swings, FM rallied from a two-set deficit to edge SUNY Adirondack in a dramatic five-set match: 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-9.
After dropping the first two sets, FMCC showed resilience and composure to mount a comeback, led by Annika Fedullo, who delivered a dominant performance with 16 kills, 4 solo blocks and 2 assists. Sophia Dugan followed with 10 kills and Briana Santiago led the offense with 42 assists.
In the second match of the day, FM took on Hudson Valley. The Lady Raiders pushed the Vikings to extra points in the opening set but came up short, 28-26. The Vikings came out on top 25-19 and 25-12 in the final two sets.
Samara Hunt led with 13 digs and 3 aces. Olivia Linart added 5 kills and 10 digs.
The Lady Raiders will have the week off and will prepare for their next match on Saturday, September 27th at Mohawk Valley Community College.
