
The men's basketball team traveled to Utica on Thursday night to take on the Mohawk Valley Hawks. The Raiders fell to the hawks, 76-60.
In the first half, both teams traded basket for basket, and FMCC would head into halftime leading 31-28.
In the second half, MVCC opened on a 17-4 run. The Raiders were able to close the gap, but it was not enough as they suffered their first conference loss of the season.
Four players scored in double-digits with Donovan Rodriguez leading with 17 points. Schumel Shepherd followed with 16 points and 4 assists and Nick Buttler netted 11. Kennyh Hardeman collected another double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
The Raiders will be off until Thursday, November 30th when they host their Home Opener. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. against Columbia-Greene.
