EJ knows the game in and out and is an incredible communicator. He can relate to his players on every level and his knowledge and experience with the game is second to none!”-Jimmer Fredette (Naismith POY at BYU, First Round NBA draft pick) “I loved my two seasons coaching EJ in Ulm Germany and we have remained close friends since. He had an excellent playing career overseas and played for some outstanding coaches. I am very proud to see EJ in coaching and love what he has done at Fulton Montgomery.  EJ has done so much for Basketball in his home area and helped so many kids from upstate New York.  I'm really excited to follow the Pirates this season!”-Mike Taylor (Former head coach of Ratiopharm Ulm, Maine Red Claws, Polish National Team) “E.J.’s love AND appreciation for the game of basketball were foundational pieces of his excellent college career. Few were more skilled as a passer or shooter, but E.J.’s passion for all things ‘team’ related, and for all aspects of the game, were the bedrock of his success as a college player. It was an absolute pleasure to coach E.J. as a collegian!  No one cared more about his teammates and our success than he, a-n-d his shooting and passing ability afforded him First Team All-Big South honors his senior year! E.J.’s extraordinary shooting and passing ability - honed from spending countless hours at his craft - may have been surpassed only by his remarkable ‘feel for the game’ on both ends of the court.  E.J. truly had all the makings of a ‘coach in waiting’ as a player, and, NOT surprisingly, has become an outstanding one today!” - Pete Strickland (former Coastal Carolina head coach, Asst coach at Dayton, NC State, Head Coach of Dematha) “In 38 years of coaching from high school to the highest level of division 1, EJ Gallup was one of the toughest, most competitive and talented players I had the privilege of working with. EJ was never intimidated or afraid of the moment. He was a great teammate who made everyone around him better. He will take all those traits in making himself a great coach just like he did for himself as a player.” Scott Beeten ( Former head coach Univ at Albany, Assistant George Washington , Cal) “EJ Gallup is a consummate professional. He has excelled in every one of his endeavors in the world of Basketball. From his long-playing career where he was always a leader and the type of player other players wanted to play “with”, to his coaching career where he has taken on the challenge of rebuilding the program at FM. EJ is a problem solver, a competitor and a winner!” - Jim Hart (Albany City Rocks)
