
The men's basketball team hit the road this weekend to take on Tompkins Cortland on Saturday and the Broome Hornets on Sunday.
Against Tompkins Cortland, the Raiders picked up a critical victory in the Region 3 standings. It came down to the wire, but FM pulled out a gutsy 76-75 win.
Johnardo Turner, Cooper Mason and Matej Gasevic each led FM with 16 points in the road win.
On Sunday, the Raiders turned right back around to match up against the Broome Hornets in Binghamton. The Raiders jumped out to a 15 points first half lead behind 20 points from Gasevic, but Broome chipped away to tie the game at 39 at the half.
In the second half, the Hornets outscored FM 45-40 to secure the 84-79 win. Gasevic led with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Cam Flinders followed with 18 points and Cooper Mason with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
FM looks to re-group and get ready for Wednesday, January 22nd when they host Hudson Valley at 7pm.
