The men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Herkimer. The Raiders now await seeding and matchups for the Region 3 post season tournament. The opening round will begin on Tuesday, February 25th.
The Raiders opened strong in the first half against the Generals. They jumped out to a 24-16 lead mid-way thorough the first half. Herkimer bounced back to cut the deficit, 30-28 at halftime. Cooper Mason led FM with 9 points in the first half and Bogdan Bogunovic led with 5 first half rebounds.
The second half, the Generals got off to a quick start and outscored the Raiders, 53-31 over the final 20 minutes to secure the 81-61 win.
Cooper Mason led with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Milos Cirovic followed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bogunovic rounded out double-figure scoring with 11 and added 8 rebounds.
FMCC finishes the regular season with an 11-12 overall record and a 10-12 Region 3 record. They will await Region 3 post-season seedings and matchups. The opening round will begin on Tuesday, February 25th.
